How to Price a Corporate Event at Your Venue

Corporate event pricing follows a different logic than wedding pricing — and venues that apply their wedding rate structure to corporate inquiries often either undercharge significantly or confuse clients with packaging that doesn't match how corporate budgets work.

The Corporate Pricing Models

Day rate / half-day rate. The most common and most understandable pricing structure for corporate clients is a simple rental rate by time block. A full-day rate (8 hours of access) and a half-day rate (4 hours) with clear definitions of what's included in the rental.

This model maps well to how corporate clients think about expenses and is easy to invoice. It also allows you to quote quickly without a custom proposal process for every inquiry.

Per-head pricing. Some venues price corporate events based on guest count — particularly for catered events. Per-head pricing works well when your catering is included or bundled, but creates complexity when clients bring their own caterers.

Package pricing. A curated package — space, AV, basic catering, day-of coordination — is the highest-margin approach for corporate events because it bundles the most common requirements at a profitable total. Corporate planners often prefer packages because they simplify their budget justification.

What Corporate Clients Will Pay More For

Corporate clients are generally less price-sensitive than wedding couples — particularly on convenience features. All-inclusive packages that eliminate the need to coordinate multiple vendors, built-in AV that eliminates rental complexity, and dedicated day-of coordination that allows the planner to focus on the event rather than logistics are all worth premium pricing.

The Add-On Menu

Build a corporate add-on menu: AV upgrade packages, catering add-ons, extended setup time, breakout room access, branded signage accommodations, valet parking. Corporate clients are accustomed to selecting from itemized options, and add-ons improve your average booking value without requiring a price increase on your base rate.
